Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Gijsbert ter Kruimer kicked off to start the match. The corner led to Sporting Burgas's Ke Xiong Chen getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. When Gijsbert ter Kruimer came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Netherlands fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gijsbert ter Kruimer couldn't finish the play. After having played for 10 minutes, Wim Wilmes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wim Wilmes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. David Eikelkamp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Álvaro Perpiñán tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Álvaro Perpiñán having to interfere. If Wim Wilmes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Álvaro Perpiñán showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antonio Fioriti in the 28th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Álvaro Perpiñán having to interfere. Wim Wilmes hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. 38 minutes into the game, Gustaaf Groeneveldt cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Álvaro Perpiñán was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gustaaf Groeneveldt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sporting Burgas's Miroslaw Piglowski managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Gust Ennemans in the 47 minute of the game. The Sporting Burgas players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Netherlands were winning 0-1.

52 minutes into the match, Sporting Burgas's goalkeeper Álvaro Perpiñán had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonio Fioriti in the 54th minute of play. Álvaro Perpiñán showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 55th minute of the match. 59 minutes in the game, Antonio Fioriti dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. In the 61st minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 65th minute Lars Meesters shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Álvaro Perpiñán saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Sporting Burgas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mac Aron didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 68th minute, David Eikelkamp fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Álvaro Perpiñán, passed just outside the right post. Wim Wilmes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Álvaro Perpiñán having to make a save. With a little luck, Sporting Burgas's Álvaro Perpiñán got control of the ball when Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Sporting Burgas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cedro Pantoja didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 83 minutes, Gijsbert ter Kruimer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gijsbert ter Kruimer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 85th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Álvaro Perpiñán was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. In the 88th minute, Antonio Fioriti made a precise shot to the right of Arnout Reekers. Netherlands's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Gustaaf Groeneveldt's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Álvaro Perpiñán firmly grabbed it by the left post. After taking down the ball on Netherlands's corner Lars Meesters fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Álvaro Perpiñán quite easily take care of the ball. With a little luck, Sporting Burgas's Álvaro Perpiñán got control of the ball when Wim Wilmes tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Sporting Burgas fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Netherlands were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
