The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Arne Eschenbaum struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Henk Horneber could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Wilson Amorim made a huge save. 17 minutes had been played when some careless play by Portugal's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Piotrek Rusin was slow to take the kick. During this time Sc Ajax Hirtenberg's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Portugal's goalie and right to Henk Horneber. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Portugal's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Wilson Amorim made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arne Eschenbaum in the 21st minute. Felipe Barreto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without J.J J.J. having to make a save. J.J J.J. showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felipe Barreto, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 33rdth minute of the game Felipe Barreto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sc Ajax Hirtenberg's J.J J.J. was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 34th minute Portugal were awarded a corner. Felipe Barreto went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Portugal's corner Felipe Barreto fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and J.J J.J. quite easily take care of the ball. 35 minutes into the match, Sc Ajax Hirtenberg's goal looked a bit too open when Caetano Moreira came free, but J.J J.J. reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. J.J J.J. stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Caetano Moreira's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Caetano Moreira put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of J.J J.J.. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Barreto in the 41st minute of play forced Sc Ajax Hirtenberg's goalkeeper J.J J.J. to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 70th minute, Bartolomeu Dias ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. J.J J.J. was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. If Felipinho Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Felipinho Amorim blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without J.J J.J. having to make a save. Felipinho Amorim came free with the goalkeeper in the 81st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and J.J J.J. could save by the left post. 84 minutes into the match, Portugal's Felipinho Amorim sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that J.J J.J. narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 91st minute Portugal were awarded a corner. Daniel Pimentel went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Sc Ajax Hirtenberg's goalie and right to Graciano Coutinho. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Sc Ajax Hirtenberg's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
