After 14 minutes of play, Germany's Frank Sachs made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Francisco Infante was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Herberto Caiado in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tommy Kahn saved Germany from getting behind. The supporters of Lima Team booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Dreifuss didn't get a good kick on the ball. Raimundo Cerqueira kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Francisco Infante took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Sachs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Adrian Dreifuss hit a great ball. Tommy Kahn made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Herberto Caiado sent off a good shot on target. When the match clock showed 38 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Herberto Caiado sped through Germany's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tommy Kahn. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Lima Team's Herberto Caiado. But to his dismay, Herberto Caiado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Herberto Caiado to make the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Jacob Barroso came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacob Barroso, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herberto Caiado in the 78th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Sachs in the 80th minute of play forced Lima Team's goalkeeper Francisco Infante to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Frank Sachs received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Francisco Infante came out and tried to block the shot, but Frank Sachs slotted it home off the left post making it 3-2 in the 84th minute. After having played for 89 minutes, Jacob Barroso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lima Team's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jacob Barroso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lima Team's Francisco Infante proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Lima Team from getting a goal against them. Germany were awarded a corner in the 92th minute after Lima Team's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Frank Sachs took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Frank Sachs got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Francisco Infante quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.
