With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wim Wilmes in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Martin Lindsten saved Sneaky sneeks from getting behind. Martin Lindsten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wim Wilmes, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. In the 18th minute Netherlands were awarded a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer went to the cornerflag to take it. Martin Lindsten took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wim Wilmes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Martin Lindsten showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 25th minute of the match. Lars Meesters blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Martin Lindsten having to make a save. 29 minutes into the match, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Martin Lindsten narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 30 minutes into the match, Sneaky sneeks's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Martin Lindsten reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Netherlands from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Sneaky sneeks was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henry Holm didn't get a good kick on the ball. Peder Alkvist's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arnout Reekers read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gijsbert ter Kruimer made a kick off. Arnout Reekers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Sneaky sneeks were victorious despite being under pressure from Netherlands for much of the match.
