Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Gijsbert ter Kruimer got the match started through his kick off. In the 2nd minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 3 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Wim Wilmes. With 7 minutes on the clock, Bas Tuitert commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 7th minute, one of Netherlands:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Netherlands. Arnout Reekers had in the 9thth minute some difficulties stopping Horaţiu Chelbea's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his right side, but he still managed to hold the ball The crowd rose to their feet as Horaţiu Chelbea kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Arnout Reekers. That made the score 1-0 in the 9 minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Rasnita's Sabin Ştercă sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arnout Reekers narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's Gust Ennemans got a free kick in the 31st minute. Arnout Reekers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gigel Apăvăloaie in the 45th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Sebastian Toacsen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rasnita's supporters rose to their feet, but Sebastian Toacsen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arnout Reekers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alex Cunea stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sabin Ştercă, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. 54 minutes into the game, Rasnita's Sabin Ştercă nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arnout Reekers made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Arnout Reekers didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rasnita. The crowd rose to their feet as Gustaaf Groeneveldt kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Flavius Ferenț. That made the score 2-1 in the 67 minute of play. 69 minutes into the game, Alex Cunea cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Arnout Reekers was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 73 minutes into the game, Valer Fecioru was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rasnita's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Netherlands the free kick. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Rasnita was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valer Fecioru didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 80th minute, Sebastian Toacsen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arnout Reekers was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. For all the effort they put into the match, the Netherlands players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Rasnita.
