Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) In the 11th minute Gustaaf Groeneveldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Menios Chloros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 16 minutes, Gijsbert ter Kruimer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gijsbert ter Kruimer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 24th minute, a hard, long distance shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer hit the top of the crossbar and flew over the goal. 34 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Nedim Emekli came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gijsbert ter Kruimer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miltos Makris in the 47th minute of play. 47 minutes into the game, Miltos Makris recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Arnout Reekers. Miltos Makris showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nedim Emekli made a kick off. In the 55th minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Menios Chloros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Wim Wilmes came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Netherlands fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wim Wilmes couldn't finish the play. Mean Machine made a substitution. Agnaldo Braga replaced Archibaldo Peñaranda. Mean Machine made a substitution. Nikos Kioupouroglou replaced Miltos Makris. Mean Machine made a substitution. Luca Milivojević replaced Lakis Mantarinakis. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's Kees Mooiweer got a free kick in the 76th minute. After 87 played minutes Mean Machine got a freekick which was hit by Agnaldo Braga. The crowd rose to their feet as Gustaaf Groeneveldt kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Menios Chloros. That made the score 1-3 in the 89 minute of play. Mean Machine's Menios Chloros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 94th minute of play. Netherlands's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
