Silvers Ilkus's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edward Vanderstraeten was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edward Vanderstraeten in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jedrzej Pinczewski saved Silvers Ilkus from getting behind. Casper Claes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saul Cloyo in the 29th minute of the match. Casper Claes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saul Cloyo in the 30th minute of play. In the 35th minute of the match Belgium got a corner. Silvers Ilkus's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Edward Vanderstraeten ran over to the corner to take the kick. Edmond Suetens thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Jedrzej Pinczewski, a very annoying self made goal in the 36th minute which led to 0-3. Jedrzej Pinczewski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yves Dervaux, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Jem Burgers kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Edward Vanderstraeten took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jedrzej Pinczewski. Jedrzej Pinczewski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Saul Cloyo to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute Edward Vanderstraeten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jedrzej Pinczewski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Casper Claes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Izydor Laba, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. In the 58th minute, Floris Claeys hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Casper Claes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saul Cloyo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saul Cloyo in the 62nd minute of play forced Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 64 minutes in the game, Saul Cloyo dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. 66 minutes into the match, Belgium's goal looked a bit too open when Izydor Laba came free, but Casper Claes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Silvers Ilkus's Jedrzej Pinczewski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Silvers Ilkus from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Belgium booed when Silvers Ilkus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anton Iurașcu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edward Vanderstraeten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fábio-Fernando Cannavaro charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Silvers Ilkus's Izydor Laba managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Guillaume Bonte in the 85 minute of the game. Izydor Laba hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. In the 96th minute, Guust Verlinden left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Silvers Ilkus fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-5. Belgium's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
