Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Saul Cloyo got free with Arnout Reekers in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 36th minute Anton Iurașcu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnout Reekers stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Saul Cloyo's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. David Eikelkamp kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The wind increased when Saul Cloyo made the kick off in the second half. Wim Wilmes's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Silvers Ilkus were victorious despite being under pressure from Netherlands for much of the match.
