Straedelburgh's Aderbal Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipe Barreto in the 16th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luciano Mineiro got free with Wilson Amorim in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 19 minutes into the match, Caetano Moreira notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Straedelburgh's Aderbal Santos. Aderbal Santos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caco Araújo in the 25th minute of play. After some careless play in the Straedelburgh defense, Daniel Pimentel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aderbal Santos. The Straedelburgh fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aderbal Santos should have stopped the shot. Wilson Amorim didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcos Vilas Boas went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Graciano Coutinho in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aderbal Santos saved Straedelburgh from getting behind. After 42 minutes Straedelburgh's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Felipe Barreto who took care of the corner kick. Daniel Pimentel made a great header on Portugal's corner, it was just that Straedelburgh's Aderbal Santos managed to reach the ball for a save. Portugal's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Felipe Barreto in the 44th minute. Portugal's Wilson Amorim proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Portugal from getting a goal against them. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcos Vilas Boas in the 47th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Viriato Moura to make the kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Marcos Vilas Boas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Straedelburgh's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcos Vilas Boas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Straedelburgh's Aderbal Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Pimentel in the 54th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Marcos Vilas Boas put it in 4-2 from a short distance just to the right of Wilson Amorim. In the 63rd minute, Marcos Vilas Boas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With his leg Aderbal Santos managed to avoid a goal in the 65thth minute, when Portugal's Viriato Moura fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Viriato Moura in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aderbal Santos saved Straedelburgh from getting behind. In the 69th minute of the game Richard Pinheiro made a throw-in which Karl-Michael Helström played forward. In the 71st minute, Marcos Vilas Boas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Straedelburgh fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-2. After taking down the ball on Portugal's corner Felipinho Amorim fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Aderbal Santos quite easily take care of the ball. Aderbal Santos didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Portugal's Felipinho Amorim shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 5-3 in the ordered_time% minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richard Pinheiro in the 79th minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee ended the match the Straedelburgh players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
