Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Viggo Lidström took the kick off in the first half of the match. Marcelo Lomba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chris Nygaard in the 3rd minute of play. In the 7thth minute of the game Chris Nygaard who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Esporte Club Bahia's Marcelo Lomba was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Marcelo Lomba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chris Nygaard, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Bjarne Kirkegaard kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Marcelo Lomba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chris Nygaard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 15 minutes into the match, Esporte Club Bahia's Viggo Lidström sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Keld Paulsen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Marcelo Lomba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chris Nygaard, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. A collision led to Denmark getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Lars Steen hit a great ball. Denmark's Chris Nygaard got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 27th minute Chris Nygaard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Lomba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paulo Trancoso got a throw-in 45 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Luiz Gustavo Paes. After a defensive mix-up in Denmark's zone, Viggo Lidström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Keld Paulsen came out of the goal and Viggo Lidström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Chris Nygaard to strike the kick off in the second half. Tiago Xavier kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Denmark's Chris Nygaard shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 54th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Marcelo Lomba but with some difficulty. After 58 played minutes Denmark got a freekick which was hit by Bjarne Kirkegaard. After recieving a nice pass, Esporte Club Bahia's Mats Möllgren tried to score from far away in the 58th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Denmark's Bertram Svenningsen got a free kick in the 64th minute. Denmark's Bertram Svenningsen suffered a concussion in the 67th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. Denmark made a substitution. Malthe Lassen replaced Bertram Svenningsen. In the 68th minute, Luiz Gustavo Paes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Malthe Lassen scored 0-2 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcelo Lomba, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Tiago Xavier fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Esporte Club Bahia's protests and gave Tiago Xavier a yellow card for diving instead. Chris Nygaard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Marcelo Lomba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Denmark's Chris Nygaard slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Marcelo Lomba. That made the score 0-4 after 88 minutes of play. Marcelo Lomba was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Chris Nygaard showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 94 minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Denmark eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
