Tullidos FC's John Herrera managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Floris Claeys in the 5 minute of the game. Currito Torrente came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten. But to his dismay, Edward Vanderstraeten quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edward Vanderstraeten in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Currito Torrente saved Tullidos FC from getting behind. Casper Claes was out of position in the 14 minute of play, and Laurgain Ruiz capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Laurgain Ruiz really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. After 16 minutes, John Herrera mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tullidos FC and the Belgium players grew even worse after the yellow card. With a little luck, Belgium's Casper Claes got control of the ball when Laurgain Ruiz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Laurgain Ruiz might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Casper Claes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Laurgain Ruiz ran back to his position shaking his head. Currito Torrente showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After 26 played minutes Tullidos FC got a freekick which was hit by Etxepare Lermo. In the 28th minute Edward Vanderstraeten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Currito Torrente saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Laurgain Ruizs short, quick shot in the 34thth minute got Casper Claes to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Laurgain Ruiz in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Casper Claes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Edward Vanderstraeten made the kick off in the second half. Laurgain Ruiz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Laurgain Ruiz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Casper Claes was relentless in the 89th minute of the game.
