Jens Schrape showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 12th minute of the match. After having played for 13 minutes, Hartmut Hägele managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Angst vorm Ball's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hartmut Hägele was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 27 minutes, Bas Tuitert mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Netherlands and the FC Angst vorm Ball players grew even worse after the yellow card. 26 minutes into the game, one of Netherlands:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Jens Schrape made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 31st minute of play. Joachim Krabbe could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Arnout Reekers made a huge save. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Angst vorm Ball's goalkeeper Jens Schrape, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Aabel 李伟峰 hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. 47 minutes into the match, Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

FC Angst vorm Ball's Jens Schrape played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 93rd minute of play. When Gustaaf Groeneveldt came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Netherlands fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gustaaf Groeneveldt couldn't finish the play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The FC Angst vorm Ball fans cheered their team off the field, for while Netherlands had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
