With an extended leg and a bit of luck Keld Paulsen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 8 minutes into the match, Denmark's goal looked a bit too open when Horaţiu Dijmărescu came free, but Keld Paulsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marin Niculescu charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marin Niculescu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 11th match minute, Olympic CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marin Niculescu to maneuver through the defense. Dacian Cristoiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chris Nygaard in the 13th minute of the match. Chris Nygaard struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Dacian Cristoiu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Denmark. Horaţiu Dijmărescu's late challenge caught a Denmark's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Horaţiu Dijmărescu helped the player get up and apologised. Horaţiu Dijmărescu hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Horaţiu Dijmărescu put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Keld Paulsen. In the 23rd minute, Olympic CF's Abraham Vallois dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Olympic CF's Dacian Cristoiu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chris Nygaard in the 29th minute of play. Denmark's Keld Paulsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horaţiu Dijmărescu in the 32nd minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, Olympic CF's goal looked a bit too open when Chris Nygaard came free, but Dacian Cristoiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chris Nygaard couldn't finish the play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Chris Nygaard to strike the kick off in the second half. Keld Paulsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abraham Vallois in the 55th minute of play. 59 minutes into the game, Petrică Cernescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Olympic CF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Denmark the free kick. Petrică Cernescu hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Bertram Svenningsen was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 60th minute. Denmark's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Chris Nygaard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Denmark getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Kenn Skou hit a great ball. Denmark's attentive Lars Steen managed to snatch the ball when Petrică Cernescu made a throw-in in the 75th minute of the game. Dacian Cristoiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chris Nygaard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 79 minutes into the match, Denmark's goal looked a bit too open when Abraham Vallois came free, but Keld Paulsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chris Nygaard might have been able to make a better finish in the 82nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dacian Cristoiu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Chris Nygaard ran back to his position shaking his head. Olympic CF's Dacian Cristoiu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chris Nygaard in the 84th minute of play. In the 95th minute, Liviu Bulcă hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Olympic CF's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
