Arnout Reekers was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Wim Wilmes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jedrzej Beninda having to interfere. Jedrzej Beninda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC Wymiatacze's Jedrzej Beninda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 27th minute of play. Bernard Ruszkowski scored 2-0 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arnout Reekers, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Netherlands were awarded a corner in the 34th minute after FC Wymiatacze's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gijsbert ter Kruimer took the corner. Jedrzej Beninda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 35th minute of the match. In the 37th minute, Jerzy Walaszkiewicz fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Arnout Reekers, passed just outside the right post. The supporters of Netherlands booed when FC Wymiatacze was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaroslaw Hetman didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jedrzej Beninda saved FC Wymiatacze from getting behind. 45 minutes into the game, Cezary Kossakowski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Wymiatacze's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Netherlands the free kick. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Andrzej Klawki to make the kick off. Max Ekelund's late challenge caught a Netherlands's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Max Ekelund helped the player get up and apologised. Jedrzej Beninda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lars Meesters in the 61st minute of play. In the 64th minute Jerzy Walaszkiewicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jedrzej Beninda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Gustaaf Groeneveldt blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jedrzej Beninda having to make a save. In the 81st minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jedrzej Beninda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrzej Klawki in the 85th minute of play. Gijsbert ter Kruimer might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jedrzej Beninda. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran back to his position shaking his head. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrzej Klawki in the 90th minute of play. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. FC Wymiatacze were victorious despite being under pressure from Netherlands for much of the match.
