Remigio Orlondo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wim Wilmes, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. When Gustaaf Groeneveldt came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Netherlands fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gustaaf Groeneveldt couldn't finish the play. FC BerserkerS's Remigio Orlondo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 45th minute of play. Mathijn Doctor's late challenge caught a FC BerserkerS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mathijn Doctor helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Mathijn Doctor hit a great ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tibor Lázár stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gijsbert ter Kruimer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Remigio Orlondo made a huge save. In the 63rd match minute, FC BerserkerS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tibor Lázár to maneuver through the defense. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Renaud Specht, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 68 minutes into the match, FC BerserkerS's goalkeeper Remigio Orlondo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wim Wilmes. If David Eikelkamp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 72nd minute, Renaud Specht made a precise shot to the right of Arnout Reekers. Netherlands's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in FC BerserkerS's zone, Gijsbert ter Kruimer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Remigio Orlondo came out of the goal and Gijsbert ter Kruimer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, FC BerserkerS's Volodya Zdravchev got a free kick in the 76th minute. A collision led to FC BerserkerS getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Tibor Lázár hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 82nd minute of play forced FC BerserkerS's goalkeeper Remigio Orlondo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marian Minkovski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 86th minute of the match, Gustaaf Groeneveldt got a very nice opportunity to score, but Remigio Orlondo was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 87 minutes into the game, Gustaaf Groeneveldt recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Remigio Orlondo. Gustaaf Groeneveldt showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. FC BerserkerS's Valeri Hrisimov was substituted for Neycho Bidzhev. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustaaf Groeneveldt got free with Remigio Orlondo in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gijsbert ter Kruimer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Remigio Orlondo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. FC BerserkerS succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Netherlands had controlled the match.
