The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ovidiu Şerbănescu had several of the Portugal's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 11 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Wilson Amorim as he didn't even see the shot coming. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ovidiu Şerbănescu got free with Wilson Amorim in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ovidiu Cosâmbescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caetano Moreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Romos FC's Ovidiu Cosâmbescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caetano Moreira in the 23rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Viriato Moura's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ovidiu Cosâmbescu was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. In the 40th minute Felipe Barreto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ovidiu Cosâmbescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Portugal's Raul Caetano got a free kick in the 43rd minute. With a little luck, Romos FC's Ovidiu Cosâmbescu got control of the ball when Felipe Barreto tried to sneak it across the goal line. With his leg Ovidiu Cosâmbescu managed to avoid a goal in the 51stth minute, when Portugal's Felipe Barreto fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ovidiu Cosâmbescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Pimentel, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Felipe Barreto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Ovidiu Cosâmbescu made a huge save. Wilson Amorim stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ovidiu Şerbănescu's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. In the 64th minute, Portugal's Felipe Barreto ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ovidiu Cosâmbescu. Ovidiu Cosâmbescu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Romos FC's Ovidiu Cosâmbescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viriato Moura in the 74th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Narcis Druță in the 75th minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wilson Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anton Teofil in the 80th minute of the match. In the 81st minute, Wu Cheng De made a precise shot to the right of Wilson Amorim. Portugal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Felipinho Amorim sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 87thth minute of the game Bartolomeu Dias who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Romos FC's Ovidiu Cosâmbescu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 89th minute, one of Romos FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Romos FC. With an all-out effort, Portugal's Ovidiu Cosâmbescu threw himself towards the right post 93 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bartolomeu Dias, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Dinu Andone made in the 96th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Narcis Druță however managed to control. The Portugal players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Romos FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
