Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when József Sugár took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Szombathelyi Haladás's goalkeeper Jeromos Petres, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Hungary getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Takacs Tibor hit a great ball. In the 14th minute, Szombathelyi Haladás's József Sugár ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fodor Daniel. Fodor Daniel yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. In the 17th minute, Antal Valentin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hungary fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. When József Sugár came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Szombathelyi Haladás fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that József Sugár couldn't finish the play. Jeromos Petres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antal Valentin in the 40th minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, Hungary's Takacs Tibor sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jeromos Petres narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 46th minute of the match Hungary got a corner. Szombathelyi Haladás's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Antal Valentin ran over to the corner to take the kick. Antal Valentin made a great header on Hungary's corner, it was just that Szombathelyi Haladás's Jeromos Petres managed to reach the ball for a save. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Antal Valentin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Szombathelyi Haladás's defense didn't have a chance, in the 53rd minute, when Antal Valentin scored to the left of an out of position Jeromos Petres, making the score, 1-3. After having played for 55 minutes, Major Barna managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hungary's supporters crossed their fingers, but Major Barna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Szombathelyi Haladás's zone, Takacs Tibor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jeromos Petres came out of the goal and Takacs Tibor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jeromos Petres made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Hegedus Henrik sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Hegedus Henrik kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jeromos Petres. That made the score 1-4 in the 60 minute of play. Kristóf Földi kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Takacs Tibor took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jeromos Petres. Jeromos Petres dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. Major Barna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 70 played minutes Szombathelyi Haladás got a freekick which was hit by József Sugár. Balazs Lajos's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jeromos Petres firmly grabbed it by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antal Valentin got free with Jeromos Petres in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jeromos Petres made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Major Barna sent off a good shot on target. In the 80th minute, Takacs Tibor reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jeromos Petres. The goal made the score 1-6. Hungary's Fodor Daniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by József Sugár in the 84th minute of play. 85 minutes into the match, Hungary's goal looked a bit too open when József Sugár came free, but Fodor Daniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 88th minute of the match, Balazs Lajos got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jeromos Petres was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Major Barna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Hungary fans' excitement grew in the 96th match minute when Hungary's Balazs Lajos looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-7 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.
