Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Frank Sachs kicked off to start the match. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from József Sugár, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. József Sugárs short, quick shot in the 7thth minute got Tommy Kahn to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Jeromos Petres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Sachs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tamás Vásárhelyi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tommy Kahn having to make a save. 27 minutes into the game, one of Szombathelyi Haladás:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Jeromos Petres had in the 28thth minute some difficulties stopping Frank Sachs's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After 29 played minutes Szombathelyi Haladás got a freekick which was hit by Kristóf Földi. Tamás Vásárhelyi scored 1-0 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tommy Kahn, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With his leg Tommy Kahn managed to avoid a goal in the 40thth minute, when Szombathelyi Haladás's József Sugár fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 46th match minute, Szombathelyi Haladás was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by József Sugár to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and József Sugár made a kick off. In the 52nd minute József Sugár shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Kristóf Földi came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Szombathelyi Haladás fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kristóf Földi couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling József Sugár in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tommy Kahn prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Germany booed when Szombathelyi Haladás was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gusztáv Détári didn't get a good kick on the ball. Frank Sachs blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jeromos Petres having to make a save. Gusztáv Détári's late challenge caught a Germany's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gusztáv Détári helped the player get up and apologised. After having played for 83 minutes, Frank Sachs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Germany's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frank Sachs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Frank Sachs blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jeromos Petres having to make a save. In the 88th match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrian Dreifuss to maneuver through the defense. József Sugár struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Tommy Kahn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Szombathelyi Haladás. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Albin Holweck hit a great ball. Tommy Kahn didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from József Sugár went, in the 92nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. 96 minutes into the match, József Sugár notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Germany's Tommy Kahn. Tommy Kahn was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Szombathelyi Haladás's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
