Austen Willis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 9 minutes into the match, Övertorneå RK's goal looked a bit too open when Omar Toledo came free, but Austen Willis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Omar Toledo in the 19th minute of play forced Övertorneå RK's goalkeeper Austen Willis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22ndth minute of the game Omar Toledo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Övertorneå RK's Austen Willis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Övertorneå RK's Austen Willis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Omar Toledo in the 23rd minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Omar Toledo made a precise shot to the right of Austen Willis. Övertorneå RK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Niclas Jakobsson had several of the Spain's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 33 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-3 score and a disappointed Gabriel Ascaso as he didn't even see the shot coming. 36 minutes into the match, Spain's Adria Bielsa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Austen Willis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 37th minute of the match Spain got a corner. Övertorneå RK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Omar Toledo ran over to the corner to take the kick. Övertorneå RK's Austen Willis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Omar Toledo in the 43rd minute of play. In the 45th minute Harry Almqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabriel Ascaso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Omar Toledo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Omar Toledo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Austen Willis made a huge save. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Övertorneå RK's goalkeeper Austen Willis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Spain fans' excitement grew in the 56th match minute when Spain's Omar Toledo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Marcus Olsman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 67 minutes into the match, Spain's Omar Toledo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Austen Willis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 70 minutes had been played when some careless play by Övertorneå RK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Adria Bielsa was slow to take the kick. During this time Spain's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in David Aranda almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Övertorneå RK's Austen Willis did a great save. Marcus Olsman charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marcus Olsman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Spain booed when Övertorneå RK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcus Olsman didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Övertorneå RK's Marcus Olsman got a free kick in the 71st minute. Carles Cherro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Austen Willis made a huge save. 74 minutes into the match, Övertorneå RK's goalkeeper Austen Willis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carles Cherro. In the 77th minute, Spain's Carles Cherro dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-5. Spain made a substitution. Sergio Ruiz replaced Adria Bielsa. Övertorneå RK's Allan Pettersson was substituted for Niclas Jakobsson. When Marcus Olsman was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 81 minutes had been played. In the 82nd match minute, Övertorneå RK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcus Olsman to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Carles Cherro in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Austen Willis saved Övertorneå RK from getting behind. Carles Cherro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Carles Cherro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Austen Willis made a huge save. In the 90th minute, Carles Cherro reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Austen Willis. The goal made the score 1-6. Carles Cherros short, quick shot in the 92ndth minute got Austen Willis to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Austen Willis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sergio Ruiz went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-7 was the resulting score. The Övertorneå RK fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Spain were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
