The supporters of Hungary booed when Nantwich was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. James Warnett didn't get a good kick on the ball. Enrique Hanot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Major Barna, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Hungary's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Antal Valentin in the 52nd minute. Rufus Stamp tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Enrique Hanot. Fodor Daniel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Reynaldo Estebe went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Antal Valentin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Nantwich's zone, Major Barna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Enrique Hanot came out of the goal and Major Barna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Antal Valentin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Enrique Hanot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nantwich's Stan Bannatyne was substituted for Reynaldo Estebe. With a little luck, Nantwich's Enrique Hanot got control of the ball when Antal Valentin tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 84th match minute, Nantwich was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Denny Mullan to maneuver through the defense. If Albert Jowsey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle.
