The audience was convinced that Ivan Käcker's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fodor Daniel was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. Versannat's attentive Karma Tarich managed to snatch the ball when Szekeres Tamas made a throw-in in the 7th minute of the game. Bruno Nunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antal Valentin in the 8th minute of play. If Ivan Käcker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. Hungary's Fodor Daniel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Hungary from getting a goal against them. Versannat's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Antal Valentin ran over to the corner to take the kick. 24 minutes into the match, Versannat's goal looked a bit too open when Antal Valentin came free, but Bruno Nunes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Antal Valentin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Bruno Nunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Hungary's Katona Janos got a free kick in the 27th minute. 34 minutes into the match, Versannat's goal looked a bit too open when Antal Valentin came free, but Bruno Nunes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eneko Puyol. Versannat's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luis Plasse in the 41st minute. Versannat's Luis Plasse was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Fodor Daniel in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. If Karl-Michael Karlberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ivan Käcker stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Hungary's Szekeres Tamas got a free kick in the 53rd minute. If Major Barna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Versannat's Bruno Nunes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Versannat from getting a goal against them. 62 minutes had been played when some careless play by Versannat's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Antal Valentin was slow to take the kick. During this time Hungary's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Hungary's corner Antal Valentin fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Bruno Nunes quite easily take care of the ball. If Antal Valentin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Versannat getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Ivan Käcker hit a great ball. Bruno Nunes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antal Valentin in the 69th minute. Versannat's Victorino Vachon managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Takacs Tibor in the 70 minute of the game. In the 71st minute of the game Szekeres Tamas made a throw-in which Takacs Tibor played forward. Ivan Käcker scored 1-0 in the 75th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fodor Daniel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bruno Nunes made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Major Barna sent off a good shot on target. Hungary were awarded a corner in the 83th minute after Versannat's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Antal Valentin took the corner. After taking down the ball on Hungary's corner Antal Valentin fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Bruno Nunes quite easily take care of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Käcker in the 85th minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 88th minute, Ivan Käcker ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fodor Daniel was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. 92 minutes into the match, Versannat's Karl-Michael Karlberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fodor Daniel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hungary's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Versannat had won, even though Hungary had held more of the ball.
