The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kyle Cox in the 7th minute of play forced GNK Dinamo Zagreb™'s goalkeeper Elder de Toledo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 8 minutes GNK Dinamo Zagreb™'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Micah Macdonald who took care of the corner kick. In the 12th minute Kyle Cox shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elder de Toledo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 15 minutes into the game, Kyle Cox cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Elder de Toledo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Micah Macdonald's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Elder de Toledo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. The supporters of England booed when GNK Dinamo Zagreb™ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ludomir Betonowy didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elder de Toledo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kyle Cox in the 21st minute of the match. Elder de Toledo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kyle Cox in the 25th minute of play. 25 minutes in the game, Kyle Cox dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. If Kyle Cox had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. GNK Dinamo Zagreb™'s Elder de Toledo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kyle Cox in the 32nd minute of play. A beautiful save bye GNK Dinamo Zagreb™'s goalie prevented a goal. Elder de Toledo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kyle Cox's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. Kyle Cox struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Elder de Toledo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for England. If Kyle Cox had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. England's Kyle Cox got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Khalid Kennedy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ludomir Betonowy in the 53rd minute of play. In the 58th minute, Mile Šljivar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kyle Cox scored 0-3 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Elder de Toledo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. England's Kyle Cox got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 68th match minute, GNK Dinamo Zagreb™ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ninoslav Baburica to maneuver through the defense. If Ludomir Betonowy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to GNK Dinamo Zagreb™ getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Mile Šljivar hit a great ball. Elder de Toledo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kyle Cox, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. After 78 played minutes England got a freekick which was hit by Quinn Holmes. If Ludomir Betonowy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Caelan Hayes hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in GNK Dinamo Zagreb™'s zone, Kyle Cox stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elder de Toledo came out of the goal and Kyle Cox tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kyle Cox recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 89thth minute of the game Kyle Cox who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GNK Dinamo Zagreb™'s Elder de Toledo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. England's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Micah Macdonald in the 94th minute. A nice corner shot did that Micah Macdonald got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Elder de Toledo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.
