Egbert Nijveldt lost his temper 35 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 34 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and 庞博亦 made a kick off. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 王适志 in the 72nd minute of the match. Wim Wilmes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but 忠 杨浩南 made a huge save. 80 minutes into the match, 贺宽桦 had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arnout Reekers. Netherlands's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that 贺宽桦 was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0.
