The audience thought a goal was coming when Medárd Horváth got free with Fodor Daniel in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Peter Schmeichel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antal Valentin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14th match minute, GoooooooooooooooooooooooL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Narcis Răcănel to maneuver through the defense. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, GoooooooooooooooooooooooL's Niculae Marica got a free kick in the 25th minute. Antal Valentin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Major Barna struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Peter Schmeichel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hungary. After some careless play in the Hungary defense, Medárd Horváth kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fodor Daniel. The Hungary fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fodor Daniel should have stopped the shot. GoooooooooooooooooooooooL's Marko Ruskov was substituted for Medárd Horváth. Fodor Daniel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marko Ruskov in the 74th minute of the match. The supporters of Hungary booed when GoooooooooooooooooooooooL was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hortêncio Coutinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fodor Daniel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pankracy Siwy's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. When Dominik Setara fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored GoooooooooooooooooooooooL's protests and gave Dominik Setara a yellow card for diving instead.
