Netherlands's Arnout Reekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Netherlands from getting a goal against them. Gervasio Godoy hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Lars Meesters kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wim Wilmes in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Venancio Oto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 55 minutes, Wim Wilmes made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. Punta Alvear's Venancio Oto tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Punta Alvear made a substitution. Edelmiro Veremundo replaced Emanuel Gizon. With his leg Venancio Oto managed to avoid a goal in the 59thth minute, when Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 60 played minutes Punta Alvear got a freekick which was hit by Inocencio Frichoso. Punta Alvear's Venancio Oto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 62nd minute of play. Punta Alvear's Venancio Oto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Punta Alvear from getting a goal against them. In the 88th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jacinto Eleazar in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arnout Reekers prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
