In the 10thth minute of the game Marcus Odin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hungary's Fodor Daniel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Decathlon Anderlecht's goalkeeper Ciro Lira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 19th minute, Balazs Lajos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hungary fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. The crowd rose to their feet as Decathlon Anderlecht's Remco Dekker slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fodor Daniel. That made the score 1-2 after 30 minutes of play. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Decathlon Anderlecht's goalkeeper Ciro Lira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antal Valentin in the 39th minute of play forced Decathlon Anderlecht's goalkeeper Ciro Lira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Antal Valentin to strike the kick off in the second half. After 60 played minutes Decathlon Anderlecht got a freekick which was hit by Richy Valkeneers. Major Barna's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ciro Lira firmly grabbed it by the left post. Jesse Petermans's late challenge caught a Hungary's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jesse Petermans helped the player get up and apologised. Jesse Petermans hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. After having played for 66 minutes, Major Barna managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hungary's supporters crossed their fingers, but Major Barna was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Diederick Raemakers might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fodor Daniel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Diederick Raemakers ran back to his position shaking his head. Fodor Daniel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcus Odin, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Antal Valentin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ciro Lira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antal Valentin in the 72nd minute. Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remco Dekker in the 74th minute of play. In the 75th minute Decathlon Anderlecht were awarded a corner. Richy Valkeneers went to the cornerflag to take it. Hungary's Fodor Daniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcus Odin in the 77th minute of play. In the 87th match minute, Decathlon Anderlecht was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guust Van Boeckost to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Decathlon Anderlecht's Loui De Loose got a free kick in the 89th minute. 91 minutes into the match, Hungary's Takacs Tibor sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ciro Lira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Takacs Tibor scored 2-3 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ciro Lira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match was over Hungary could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Decathlon Anderlecht throughout the match.
