After taking down the ball on Dal 3ello's corner Davi Dal Bello fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Casper Claes quite easily take care of the ball. 23 minutes into the match, Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Igor Taffarel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lee Dal Bello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Casper Claes having to interfere. Caique Dal Bello blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Casper Claes having to make a save. 31 minutes into the match, Dal 3ello's goal looked a bit too open when Yves Dervaux came free, but Igor Taffarel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Davi Dal Bello's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Casper Claes firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 38th match minute, Belgium was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sander Dermaut to maneuver through the defense. Davi Dal Bello might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Casper Claes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Davi Dal Bello ran back to his position shaking his head. Casper Claes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Davi Dal Bello in the 41st minute. In the 43rd minute, Lenny Clocheret hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Davi Dal Bello who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 44thth minute tested the skills of Casper Claes when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A collision led to Dal 3ello getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Dino Nogueira hit a great ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lee Dal Bello was the one to do the kick off. After 51 minutes of play, Dal 3ello's Davi Dal Bello made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Casper Claes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Edward Vanderstraeten might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Igor Taffarel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edward Vanderstraeten ran back to his position shaking his head. Edward Vanderstraeten's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Igor Taffarel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. In the 81st match minute, Dal 3ello was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Belmiro Jacinto to maneuver through the defense. Dal 3ello's Belmiro Jacinto managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Floris Claeys in the 84 minute of the game. Belgium were awarded a corner in the 88th minute after Dal 3ello's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Edward Vanderstraeten took the corner.
