Attilio Proia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Sachs in the 9th minute of the match. Biagio Guerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Kahn having to interfere. In the 19th minute, Germany's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ciccio Nazzari fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. If Frank Sachs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Sachs in the 27th minute of play forced FataMorgana's goalkeeper Attilio Proia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35thth minute of the game Frank Sachs who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FataMorgana's Attilio Proia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Germany's Frank Sachs in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FataMorgana's goalie prevented a goal. When Albin Holweck came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Germany fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Albin Holweck couldn't finish the play. 40 minutes into the match, FataMorgana's goal looked a bit too open when Albin Holweck came free, but Attilio Proia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 45 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Biagio Guerra came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 47th minute, Frank Sachs got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. FataMorgana's Cosimo Cesare was substituted for Ciccio Nazzari. After the first half Germany were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cosimo Cesare to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Albin Holweck dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Attilio Proia, 0-2. In a very dangerous position, a player in FataMorgana fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 55th minute. Penalty! FataMorgana:s Attilio Proia showed great skill when he stopped Frank Sachs:s penalty. Attilio Proia came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Germany's Frank Sachs. But to his dismay, Frank Sachs quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. In the 61st minute, Comunardo Loreto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Frank Sachs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by FataMorgana's Cosimo Cesare. But to his dismay, Cosimo Cesare quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Albin Holweck recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cosimo Cesare, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anfilogino Pedrelli kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Germany's Albin Holweck quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Camillo Tartaglia, made in the 81st minute of the game. Frank Sachs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 84th minute Cosimo Cesare shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cosimo Cesare in the 85th minute of the match. Biagio Guerra might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tommy Kahn. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Biagio Guerra ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of FataMorgana booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chris Mergenthaler didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 91 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Frank Sachs. 94 minutes into the game, FataMorgana's Bianco Ferreri nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tommy Kahn made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. The supporters of FataMorgana booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frank Sachs didn't get a good kick on the ball. The FataMorgana supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Germany's performance. The match ended with a win for Germany.
