With an extended leg and a bit of luck Attilio Proia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With his leg Maxime Durand managed to avoid a goal in the 25thth minute, when FataMorgana's Ciccio Nazzari fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 26 minutes into the game, FataMorgana's Ciccio Nazzari nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Maxime Durand made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Ciccio Nazzari came free with the goalkeeper in the 29th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Maxime Durand could save by the left post. The audience was convinced that Frank Peletier's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Attilio Proia was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Comunardo Loreto hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. After having played for 32 minutes, Frank Peletier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. France's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frank Peletier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to FataMorgana getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Fedele Sammartano hit a great ball. 35 minutes into the match, FataMorgana's goal looked a bit too open when David Barbier came free, but Attilio Proia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alessandro Ciscato during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Maxime Durand showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Biagio Guerra, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. In the 40th minute Frank Peletier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Attilio Proia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 41 played minutes France got a freekick which was hit by Quentin Beaux. FataMorgana's Attilio Proia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Peletier in the 44th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

FataMorgana's Cosimo Cesare was substituted for Ciccio Nazzari. FataMorgana made a substitution. Amerigo Tuzzolino replaced Fedele Sammartano. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Frank Peletier stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. It was a well-played corner which Bianco Ferreri managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Maxime Durand showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cosimo Cesare, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. 76 minutes into the match, FataMorgana's goalkeeper Attilio Proia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frank Peletier. The corner led France's David Barbier to fire away a dangerous shot which Attilio Proia despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 80thth minute of the game Cosimo Cesare who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but France's Maxime Durand was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Maxime Durand made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bianco Ferreri in the 81st minute of play. If Frank Peletier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maxime Durand made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cosimo Cesare in the 95th minute of play.
