It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Arkadiusz Brzonkala kicked off to start the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Frank Sachs managed to get in a good position for a shot. Germany's supporters rose to their feet, but Frank Sachs was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leon Mios breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 11 minutes into the game, Sebastian Gasteiz recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tommy Kahn. Sebastian Gasteiz showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. After 14 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Malte Schiele. Tommy Kahn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arkadiusz Brzonkala in the 14th minute. When Arkadiusz Brzonkala came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the KS KRUK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arkadiusz Brzonkala couldn't finish the play. In the 18th match minute, KS KRUK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastian Szarmach to maneuver through the defense. When the match clock showed 22 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Arkadiusz Brzonkala sped through Germany's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tommy Kahn. Arkadiusz Brzonkalas short, quick shot in the 25thth minute got Tommy Kahn to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Frank Sachs might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leon Mios. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Frank Sachs ran back to his position shaking his head. Janik Vogt kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. After having played for 33 minutes, Damazy Wasikowski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KS KRUK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Damazy Wasikowski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Frank Sachs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Arkadiusz Brzonkala kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tommy Kahn. That made the score 3-0 in the 36 minute of play. Arkadiusz Brzonkala received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Tommy Kahn came out and tried to block the shot, but Arkadiusz Brzonkala slotted it home off the left post making it 4-0 in the 42nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sebastian Gasteiz in the 47th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

KS KRUK made a substitution. Arkadiusz Nigbor replaced Walery Cwenar. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arkadiusz Brzonkala in the 52nd minute of play. After 53 minutes of play, KS KRUK's Sebastian Gasteiz made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tommy Kahn was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ulrich Stein hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Szarmach in the 59th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in KS KRUK's zone, Frank Sachs stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leon Mios came out of the goal and Frank Sachs tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Arkadiusz Brzonkala had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 68 minutes Germany's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Damazy Wasikowski who took care of the corner kick. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frank Sachs couldn't finish the play. The referee ignored Germany's protests and gave Malte Schiele a yellow card for diving instead.
