In the 4th minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. FC SuurTükk's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. The supporters of FC SuurTükk booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Eikelkamp didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 5th minute, David Eikelkamp fired away a hard free kick towards the goal. Paavo Hiiu moved to his left, but didn't have to make a save as the ball went out of bounds. Paavo Hiiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Netherlands were awarded a corner in the 13th minute after FC SuurTükk's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gijsbert ter Kruimer took the corner. Netherlands's Egbert Nijveldt was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Paavo Hiiu in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paavo Hiiu having to interfere. Paavo Hiiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paavo Hiiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 18th minute of the match. 20 minutes into the match, Gijsbert ter Kruimer notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of FC SuurTükk's Paavo Hiiu. Paavo Hiiu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Paavo Hiiu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A nice corner shot did that Gijsbert ter Kruimer got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Paavo Hiiu quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The supporters of Netherlands booed when FC SuurTükk was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ermo Kübar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wim Wilmes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Paavo Hiiu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's Mathijn Doctor got a free kick in the 35th minute. In the 38th minute Gustaaf Groeneveldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paavo Hiiu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 39th minute of play forced FC SuurTükk's goalkeeper Paavo Hiiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42ndth minute of the game Tambet Vilberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Netherlands's Arnout Reekers was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wim Wilmes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paavo Hiiu having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tambet Vilberg was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st match minute, FC SuurTükk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olav Krooni to maneuver through the defense. FC SuurTükk's Paavo Hiiu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 56th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gijsbert ter Kruimer got free with Paavo Hiiu in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gijsbert ter Kruimer received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Paavo Hiiu came out and tried to block the shot, but Gijsbert ter Kruimer slotted it home off the left post making it 0-2 in the 62nd minute. Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paavo Hiiu came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer. But to his dismay, Gijsbert ter Kruimer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. A collision led to FC SuurTükk getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Timo Tamm hit a great ball. FC SuurTükk's Paavo Hiiu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 81st minute of play. Gustaaf Groeneveldt received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Paavo Hiiu came out and tried to block the shot, but Gustaaf Groeneveldt slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 83rd minute. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's Egbert Nijveldt got a free kick in the 85th minute. Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 90 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Armin Lumi came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mathijn Doctor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 96 minutes into the game, FC SuurTükk's Tambet Vilberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arnout Reekers made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. When the match was over Netherlands could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FC SuurTükk throughout the match.
