In the 13th match minute, Selebi-Phikwe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastian Quin to maneuver through the defense. 15 minutes into the match, Selebi-Phikwe's goal looked a bit too open when Viriato Moura came free, but Christof Deroek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Pimentel in the 16th minute of play forced Selebi-Phikwe's goalkeeper Christof Deroek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Selebi-Phikwe getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Through an outstanding action, after 67 minutes, Christof Deroek successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Selebi-Phikwe's Christof Deroek proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Selebi-Phikwe from getting a goal against them. A hard shot 92 in the game by Bartolomeu Dias from a close distance when the talented Christof Deroek managed to make a qualified save. Selebi-Phikwe's players were relieved. When the match had gone on for 97 minutes, Bartolomeu Dias took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Christof Deroek to make any attempt to save it. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Portugal eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
