In the 10th minute Atilano Ruisko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Germany's zone, Aurelio Vodanovic stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal and Aurelio Vodanovic tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 18th match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albin Holweck to maneuver through the defense. After 19 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Albin Holweck. Tommy Kahn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Astrit Melisarov in the 26th minute. After 28 minutes of play, Germany's Frank Sachs made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Franco Bellucci was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Archibaldo Candamil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurelio Vodanovic in the 38th minute of play. If Archibaldo Candamil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 42 minutes, Astrit Melisarov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Almazarrón's supporters crossed their fingers, but Astrit Melisarov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aurelio Vodanovic, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Bastian Roth hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. In the 54th minute, Frank Sachs got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurelio Vodanovic in the 57th minute of play. In the 61st minute, Albin Holweck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 62nd minute of the match Astrit Melisarov shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tommy Kahn showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Almazarrón's Astrit Melisarov in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Germany's goalie prevented a goal. In the 68th match minute, Almazarrón was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Astrit Melisarov to maneuver through the defense. A throw-in in the 78th minute of the game was made by Bastian Roth with Amancio Harroyo as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Archibaldo Candamil in the 89th minute of play. Frank Sachs could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Franco Bellucci made a huge save. Archibaldo Candamil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Tommy Kahn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Almazarrón had played much better football throughout.
