Gustaaf Groeneveldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tamariz Zurieta having to interfere. Tamariz Zurieta didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Lars Meesters kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. With 95 minutes on the clock, Egbert Nijveldt commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 94 minutes into the game, one of Netherlands:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Despite being the better team, Netherlands failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
