Battal Seyyit Bedel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ahmet Çağrı Riayet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Arnout Reekers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nikola Maksimović hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 30th minute David Eikelkamp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Battal Seyyit Bedel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. David Eikelkamp took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Battal Seyyit Bedel. Battal Seyyit Bedel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Arnout Reekers made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Halil Can İhtiyar sent off a good shot on target. Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Kurfalı SK's zone, Wim Wilmes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Battal Seyyit Bedel came out of the goal and Wim Wilmes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmet Çağrı Riayet in the 54th minute of play. Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 58th minute, Ahmet Çağrı Riayet ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arnout Reekers was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edoardo Pelliccia, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Halil Can İhtiyar in the 65th minute of play. Gustaaf Groeneveldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Battal Seyyit Bedel having to interfere. In the 69th minute of the match, Gijsbert ter Kruimer tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Battal Seyyit Bedel saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Kurfalı SK's Emirşah Davutoğlu quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Gust Ennemans, made in the 74th minute of the game. In the 78th match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mathijn Doctor to maneuver through the defense. Battal Seyyit Bedel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wim Wilmes in the 83rd minute. Battal Seyyit Bedel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 84th minute of the match. 85 minutes into the match, Kurfalı SK's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Battal Seyyit Bedel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
