Andrés Mayen who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 25thth minute tested the skills of Dave Bulla when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 40th minute, Andrés Mayen made a precise shot to the right of Dave Bulla. Liverpool F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. In the 43rd match minute, Santa Catalina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jhonnatan Pimentel to maneuver through the defense. After 44 minutes, Andrés Mayen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Santa Catalina and the Liverpool F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. The Santa Catalina fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Andrés Mayen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dave Bulla having to interfere. Dagoberto Pérez's late challenge caught a Santa Catalina's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dagoberto Pérez helped the player get up and apologised. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrés Mayen in the 96th minute of play forced Liverpool F.C.'s goalkeeper Dave Bulla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Santa Catalina players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
