A collision led to Poulton-Le-Fylde United getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Edgardo Rivas hit a great ball. Christian Padilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulises Duarte, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rafael Castillo during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ulises Duarte's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Christian Padilla read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. When Saul Flores fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Poulton-Le-Fylde United's protests and gave Saul Flores a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Poulton-Le-Fylde United getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Saul Flores hit a great ball. If Ulises Duarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Ulises Duarte kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Christian Padilla. That made the score 1-0 in the 29 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Isle Of Dogs AFC's zone, Eraldo Rivero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabio Palencia came out of the goal and Eraldo Rivero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Poulton-Le-Fylde United getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Victorino Liborio hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Poulton-Le-Fylde United's zone, Zelvin Barquero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christian Padilla came out of the goal and Zelvin Barquero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luis Molina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Christian Padilla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 43rd minute Ulises Duarte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christian Padilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Poulton-Le-Fylde United's Christian Padilla got control of the ball when Luis Molina tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ulises Duarte was the one to do the kick off. Fabio Palencia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eraldo Rivero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eraldo Rivero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabio Palencia having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eraldo Rivero in the 56th minute of play forced Isle Of Dogs AFC's goalkeeper Fabio Palencia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 59 minutes into the match, Lorenzo Braun had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fabio Palencia. Isle Of Dogs AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lorenzo Braun was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Isle Of Dogs AFC's goalkeeper Fabio Palencia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 71st minute Eraldo Rivero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabio Palencia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lorenzo Braun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabio Palencia having to interfere. In the 79th match minute, Isle Of Dogs AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rony Messias to maneuver through the defense. Poulton-Le-Fylde United's Victorino Liborio couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 80th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Isle Of Dogs AFC. After 81 minutes of play Poulton-Le-Fylde United's Rafael Castillo was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 82nd match minute, Poulton-Le-Fylde United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafael Castillo to maneuver through the defense. Luis Molina recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Poulton-Le-Fylde United booed when Isle Of Dogs AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zelvin Barquero didn't get a good kick on the ball. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
