Victor Parada sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Guaberto Jaunzuria got free with Jonathan Barreto in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Real Soyapango FC's Guaberto Jaunzuria was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 7th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Guaberto Jaunzuria blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Barreto having to make a save. Guaberto Jaunzuria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jonathan Barreto was a little too slow when Guaberto Jaunzuria got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 11th minute. The score was now 2-0. When Real Soyapango FC's Guaberto Jaunzuria in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Newton Abbot United's goalie prevented a goal. In the last second Jonathan Barreto throw himself and got hold of the ball when Guaberto Jaunzuria in the 16thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. The supporters of Real Soyapango FC booed when Newton Abbot United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Deris Parada didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Guaberto Jaunzuria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Guaberto Jaunzuria in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Barreto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Victor Parada recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jonathan Barreto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Guaberto Jaunzuria went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. In the 47th minute, Mauricio Barraza left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Newton Abbot United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Deris Parada to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximiliano Herrera in the 56th minute of play forced Newton Abbot United's goalkeeper Jonathan Barreto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 58th minute, Newton Abbot United's Hugo Leguizamon seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Hugo Leguizamon the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Newton Abbot United protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Hugo Leguizamon had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Newton Abbot United fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 57th minute. Penalty! In the 59th minute there was a penalty for Real Soyapango FC. Orlando Campos stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jonathan Barreto. 6-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Guaberto Jaunzuria in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Barreto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dennys Paz's late challenge caught a Real Soyapango FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dennys Paz helped the player get up and apologised. Dennys Paz kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Jonathan Barreto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guaberto Jaunzuria, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. If Maximiliano Herrera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guaberto Jaunzuria took the ball and in the 81 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Barreto. Jonathan Barreto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-1. After 86 minutes of play, Real Soyapango FC's Maximiliano Herrera made it 8-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Barreto was left in no man's land by his defense there! 89 minutes into the match, Real Soyapango FC's Milton Campos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Barreto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some careless play in the Newton Abbot United defense, Victor Parada kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonathan Barreto. The Newton Abbot United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonathan Barreto should have stopped the shot. Jonathan Barreto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Guaberto Jaunzuria's shot from short distance in the 98th minute. Real Soyapango FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
