Seating: 1850, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Alvaro Alvarado kicked off to start the match. In the 7th minute, Ruben Escobar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rony Barraza was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Eastbourne United's Humberto Serrano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alvaro Alvarado in the 17th minute of play. Alvaro Corpeño struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Rony Barraza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Eastbourne United. When Alonso Magaña fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Carterton's protests and gave Alonso Magaña a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Carterton getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Alonso Magaña hit a great ball. When Josue Botello came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Eastbourne United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Josue Botello couldn't finish the play. In the 25thth minute of the game Alvaro Corpeño who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Carterton's Rony Barraza was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Odir Botello took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Humberto Serrano. Humberto Serrano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The supporters of Carterton booed when Eastbourne United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Shawn Flores didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alvaro Alvarado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Odir Botello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Odir Botello struck a weak shot in the 35th minute. Alvaro Alvarado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Alvaro Alvarado in the 54th minute of play forced Eastbourne United's goalkeeper Humberto Serrano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 56th minute, Odir Botello ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Humberto Serrano was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. 59 minutes in the game, Josue Botello fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Rony Barraza having to interfere. Odir Botello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Humberto Serrano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amilcar Duarte hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. In the 65th minute of the match Carterton got a corner. Eastbourne United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Adolfo Medina ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Adolfo Medina almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Eastbourne United's Humberto Serrano did a great save. Alvaro Alvarado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rony Barraza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Josue Botello in the 73rd minute of play. Adolfo Medina took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 78th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Humberto Serrano. Eastbourne United's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 85thth minute of the game Alvaro Alvarado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Eastbourne United's Humberto Serrano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Eastbourne United's Josue Botello slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rony Barraza. That made the score 2-2 after 88 minutes of play. 93 minutes into the game, Odir Botello cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Humberto Serrano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Carterton fans cheered their team off the field, for while Eastbourne United had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
