Jaime Magaña's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Salvador Granados read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Richard Ramos in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Salvador Granados prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Leigh's Marvin Alferez got a free kick in the 39th minute. Salvador Granados stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Richard Ramos's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. Leigh's Salvador Granados played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Richard Ramos in the 43rd minute of play.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edgardo Salinas was the one to do the kick off. After 60 played minutes Leigh got a freekick which was hit by Wilber Galeas. In the 61st minute, Richard Ramos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If William Velis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leigh's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
