Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Allan Coreas kicked off to start the match. 4 minutes into the match, Whitwell's goal looked a bit too open when Allan Coreas came free, but Jhalmar Escalante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 10 minutes, Allan Coreas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Preston's supporters crossed their fingers, but Allan Coreas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Whitwell's Jhalmar Escalante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Allan Coreas in the 13th minute of play. In the 16th minute, Selvin Giron got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Max Paz fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Preston's protests and gave Max Paz a yellow card for diving instead. After recieving a nice pass, Whitwell's Jhalmar Umaña tried to score from far away in the 24th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. A collision led to Preston getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. David Verdugo hit a great ball. Selvin Giron received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Raúl Guerrero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ismael Pineda's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Raúl Guerrero read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. After 40 played minutes Preston got a freekick which was hit by Edgardo Rey. The supporters of Whitwell booed when Preston was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Esteban Vinosis didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ismael Pineda got free with Raúl Guerrero in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Ismael Pineda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Raúl Guerrero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ismael Pineda in the 57th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Selvin Giron in the 74th minute of play forced Preston's goalkeeper Raúl Guerrero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Selvin Giron received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Raúl Guerrero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 79th minute, Selvin Giron left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Whitwell fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. The supporters of Whitwell booed when Preston was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Max Paz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 86th minute of the match Jhalmar Umaña shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Raúl Guerrero showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Selvin Giron sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ismael Pineda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raúl Guerrero having to interfere. In the 91st minute Selvin Giron shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raúl Guerrero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Whitwell's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
