With a couple of smart ball manuevers Odir Zapata in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Patricio Moreno saved East Grinstead United from getting behind. Patricio Moreno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benjamín Barraza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Misael Gallegos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lorenzo Pimentel, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Lorenzo Pimentel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Misael Gallegos having to interfere. In the 23rd match minute, East Grinstead United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Pérez to maneuver through the defense. In the 24th minute of the match Wilber Liborio shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Patricio Moreno showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 30th minute, East Grinstead United's Lorenzo Pimentel dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Odir Zapata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 1-2 became the score in the 40th minute when Benjamín Barraza elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Benjamín Barraza managed to get in a good position for a shot. NO MERCY's supporters rose to their feet, but Benjamín Barraza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Patricio Moreno breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Benjamín Barraza came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the NO MERCY fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benjamín Barraza couldn't finish the play. NO MERCY's Benjamín Barraza got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lorenzo Pimentel to make the kick off. Patricio Moreno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamín Barraza in the 58th minute of play. Benjamín Barraza took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Patricio Moreno. Patricio Moreno dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. Benjamín Barraza blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Patricio Moreno having to make a save. Patricio Moreno made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Odir Zapata sent off a good shot on target. Benjamín Barraza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Patricio Moreno stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benjamín Barraza's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. When NO MERCY's Benjamín Barraza in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye East Grinstead United's goalie prevented a goal. If Benjamín Barraza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Odir Zapata received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Patricio Moreno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Miguel Pérez's late challenge caught a NO MERCY's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Miguel Pérez helped the player get up and apologised. After 94 played minutes East Grinstead United got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Pérez. In the 96th minute, Benjamín Barraza fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Patricio Moreno, passed just outside the right post.
