Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Lorenzo Pimentel started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, East Grinstead United's Félix Braun got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Patricio Moreno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ismael Pineda in the 5th minute of the match. East Grinstead United's Patricio Moreno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ismael Pineda in the 8th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in East Grinstead United's zone, Ismael Pineda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Patricio Moreno came out of the goal and Ismael Pineda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 10th minute, Miguel Pérez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 12 minutes into the match, East Grinstead United's goal looked a bit too open when Ismael Pineda came free, but Patricio Moreno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, Whitwell's goal looked a bit too open when Lorenzo Pimentel came free, but Jhalmar Escalante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, Selvin Giron notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of East Grinstead United's Patricio Moreno. Patricio Moreno was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. East Grinstead United's Patricio Moreno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Selvin Giron in the 29th minute of play. After 29 played minutes East Grinstead United got a freekick which was hit by Esteban Costas. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind East Grinstead United's goalkeeper Patricio Moreno, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jhalmar Escalante made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ladislao Castaneda in the 37th minute. Patricio Moreno came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Whitwell's Selvin Giron. But to his dismay, Selvin Giron quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Selvin Giron made a kick off. Lorenzo Pimentel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Félix Braun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jhalmar Escalante having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Whitwell's Jhalmar Umaña got a free kick in the 65th minute. Pablo Vinosis's late challenge caught a Whitwell's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pablo Vinosis helped the player get up and apologised. The goalkeeper, Patricio Moreno, was totally fooled by Whitwell's Jhalmar Umaña, who 83 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After a defensive mix-up in East Grinstead United's zone, Ismael Pineda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Patricio Moreno came out of the goal and Ismael Pineda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Ismael Pineda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Selvin Giron's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Patricio Moreno was relentless in the 99th minute of the game.
