Eliseo Anaya sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, CD INDEPENDIENTE's Marcelo Mondragon got control of the ball when Christian Uranga tried to sneak it across the goal line. 13 minutes into the match, CD INDEPENDIENTE's goalkeeper Marcelo Mondragon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Christian Uranga. With his leg Marcelo Mondragon managed to avoid a goal in the 14thth minute, when Rothwell United's Christian Uranga fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jhonnatan Velis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelo Mondragon having to interfere. Christian Uranga's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 23rdth minute, Marcelo Mondragon skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 26th minute, Libardo Arango ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcelo Mondragon was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 30th minute of the match, Jhonnatan Velis tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Marcelo Mondragon saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Jhonnatan Velis came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Rothwell United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jhonnatan Velis couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, CD INDEPENDIENTE's Marcelo Mondragon got control of the ball when Christian Uranga tried to sneak it across the goal line. Christian Uranga struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Marcelo Mondragon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rothwell United. CD INDEPENDIENTE's Marcelo Mondragon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jhonnatan Velis in the 41st minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, CD INDEPENDIENTE's goal looked a bit too open when Jhonnatan Velis came free, but Marcelo Mondragon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Christian Uranga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelo Mondragon having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edgardo Mora stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. CD INDEPENDIENTE's Marcelo Mondragon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Libardo Arango in the 52nd minute of play. Eliseo Anaya sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 56th minute, Edgardo Mora hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Christian Uranga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Marcelo Mondragon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Rothwell United's Christian Uranga in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcelo Mondragon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jhonnatan Velis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marcelo Mondragon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jhonnatan Velis, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. In the 79th minute, Christian Uranga ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marcelo Mondragon was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. CD INDEPENDIENTE's Marcelo Mondragon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christian Uranga in the 90th minute of play. Marcelo Mondragon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christian Uranga in the 91st minute of play. In the 95th minute Jhonnatan Velis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Mondragon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Rothwell United fully deserved thier win.
