Baston's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arnoldo Renderos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Fidel Coreas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Baltazar Oporto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Baston getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Julio Alvarez hit a great ball. In the 19th match minute, Heswall United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnoldo Renderos to maneuver through the defense. William Monzon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Julio Orobio having to make a save. William Monzon who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 30thth minute tested the skills of Julio Orobio when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Julio Orobio made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Arnoldo Renderos sent off a good shot on target. Heswall United's Baltazar Oporto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramon Castro in the 35th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, Baston's goal looked a bit too open when William Monzon came free, but Julio Orobio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by William Monzon in the 42nd minute of play forced Baston's goalkeeper Julio Orobio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Patricio Barquero charged in rather forcefully in the 48th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Patricio Barquero the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 49th match minute, Heswall United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Barquero to maneuver through the defense. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Julio Orobio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from William Monzon in the 54th minute of play. Deris Palencia charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Deris Palencia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Deris Palencia hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Baston's Rolando Menjivar got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Julio Orobio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnoldo Renderos in the 63rd minute of play. In the 68th minute, Arnoldo Renderos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Erick Posadas kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Jaime Guerrero, 71 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Arnoldo Renderos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Orobio having to interfere. Franklin Molina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Orobio having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Oswaldo Collado during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Oswaldo Collado hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. The supporters of Heswall United booed when Baston was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julio Alvarez didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, William Monzon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Heswall United's supporters rose to their feet, but William Monzon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Orobio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If William Monzon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arnoldo Renderos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Julio Orobio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnoldo Renderos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 98 minutes into the match, Heswall United's goal looked a bit too open when Ramon Castro came free, but Baltazar Oporto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
