Spectators: 6500 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) CD Santos's Ruben Coreas started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ruben Coreas in the 4thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Orlando Tobar, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 5th minute, Allan Benavides reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Orlando Tobar. The goal made the score 1-0. Orlando Tobar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruben Coreas in the 8th minute of play. After 11 played minutes CD Santos got a freekick which was hit by Isaac Castaneda. Ruben Coreas took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Orlando Tobar. Orlando Tobar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Allan Benavides kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Orlando Tobar. That made the score 3-0 in the 21 minute of play. A collision led to CD Santos getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Alberto Giron hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Ruben Coreas managed to get in a good position for a shot. CD Santos's supporters rose to their feet, but Ruben Coreas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Orlando Tobar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to CD Santos getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Ruben Coreas hit a great ball. When Ruben Coreas got the opportunity to take care of a free kick it resulted in a really dangerous shot that almost went in the goal. Instead the ball went too high, a missed opportunity for CD Santos. Ruben Coreas hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. In the 39th minute, Alfredo Del Cid left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The East Grinstead AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. In the 43rd match minute, East Grinstead AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Franklin Medrano to maneuver through the defense. Ruben Coreas who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 46thth minute tested the skills of Orlando Tobar when he managed to save the team from getting behind.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alfredo Del Cid to make the kick off. When Ismael Renderos fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored East Grinstead AFC's protests and gave Ismael Renderos a yellow card for diving instead. Carmelo Hurtado kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Jhonnatan Flamenco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 64 minutes, Isaac Castaneda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CD Santos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isaac Castaneda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of East Grinstead AFC booed when CD Santos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Giron didn't get a good kick on the ball. CD Santos's Emiliano Mondragon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabio Magaña in the 69th minute of play. In the 70th minute, Carmelo Hurtado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Franklin Medrano fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored East Grinstead AFC's protests and gave Franklin Medrano a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in East Grinstead AFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 72nd minute. Penalty! In the 74th minute there was a penalty for CD Santos. Milton Mayen stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Orlando Tobar. 4-1. After 79 minutes, Arturo Meza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CD Santos and the East Grinstead AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ruben Coreas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. East Grinstead AFC's Ismael Renderos got his second yellow card of the match in the 82nd minute. The referee ordered Ismael Renderos off the ground. The supporters of CD Santos booed when East Grinstead AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ismael Renderos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arturo Meza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orlando Tobar having to interfere. Antonio Melendez hit a great ball. After 93 played minutes East Grinstead AFC got a freekick which was hit by Jhonnatan Flamenco. In the 95th minute, Fabio Magaña got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alberto Giron hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The CD Santos fans cheered their team off the field, for while East Grinstead AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
