Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Oswaldo Noyola started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute, William Jimenez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Walshaw fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Oswaldo Noyola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Oswaldo Noyola in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alonso Villanueva saved Walshaw from getting behind. Enrique Coreas came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Walshaw's William Corrales. But to his dismay, William Corrales quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Walshaw's Ramon Alas got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Walshaw's Lorenzo Arango got a free kick in the 21st minute. Patricio Castro hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Oswaldo Noyola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Alonso Villanueva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Oswaldo Noyola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alonso Villanueva having to interfere. Enrique Coreas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from William Corrales in the 45th minute of play. Enrique Coreas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilber Coreas, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 64th minute Oswaldo Noyola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alonso Villanueva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Patricio Castro hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. In the 66th minute, Rafael Torres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee felt a red card was in order, 72 minutes into the game, when Hector Sifon put in a rough tackle. The supporters of Walshaw booed when Congresbury was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hector Sifon didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience held their breath when Lorenzo Arango in the 74th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Enrique Coreas's left hand side. Patricio Castro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Alonso Villanueva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Oswaldo Noyola's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alonso Villanueva was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. If Oswaldo Noyola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rafael Torres charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rafael Torres the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Congresbury booed when Walshaw was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafael Torres didn't get a good kick on the ball. Patricio Castro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Patricio Castro came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Congresbury fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patricio Castro couldn't finish the play. When the match was over Walshaw could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Congresbury throughout the match.
