Spectators: 7000 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 2000, VIP seats: 0) Newlyn East's Angel Quintanilla started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, Newlyn East's goal looked a bit too open when Oswaldo Noyola came free, but Josue Giron reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Newlyn East booed when Congresbury was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jairo Muñoz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Newlyn East's Mauro Orellana shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 8th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Enrique Coreas but with some difficulty. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Newlyn East's goalkeeper Josue Giron, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Newlyn East's Emiliano Alferez got a free kick in the 15th minute. Emiliano Alferez hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Congresbury's Enrique Coreas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Hidalgo in the 24th minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Congresbury's goal looked a bit too open when Zelvin Anaya came free, but Enrique Coreas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Oswaldo Noyola's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Josue Giron read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. After 36 minutes, Daniel Hidalgo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Newlyn East and the Congresbury players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 36 played minutes Newlyn East got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Hidalgo. If Oswaldo Noyola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some careless play in the Newlyn East defense, Jairo Muñoz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Josue Giron. The Newlyn East fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Josue Giron should have stopped the shot. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After 65 minutes of play, Congresbury's Oswaldo Noyola made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Josue Giron was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 75 played minutes Newlyn East got a freekick which was hit by Emiliano Alferez. Congresbury's Benjamín Salamanca got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Josue Giron was a little too slow when Benjamín Salamanca got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 83rd minute. The score was now 0-3. Newlyn East's Josue Giron proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Newlyn East from getting a goal against them. After 91 minutes, Emiliano Alferez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Newlyn East and the Congresbury players grew even worse after the yellow card. Zelvin Anaya hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. After 98 played minutes Congresbury got a freekick which was hit by Oswaldo Noyola.
