The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Dennys Orobio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardo Fuentes in the 3rd minute of the match. Antonio Bran charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Antonio Bran the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ricardo Garay shot from long distance in the 5th minute, but Dennys Orobio was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. If Salvador Anaya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Victorino Granados took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antonio Bran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Salvador Anaya blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dennys Orobio having to make a save. Gilberto Santamaria scored 0-1 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Victorino Granados, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 18th match minute, Club Deportivo Aguila was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Primitivo Posadas to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Clapham booed when Club Deportivo Aguila was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zelvin Murgas didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Salvador Anaya in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dennys Orobio saved Clapham from getting behind. Salvador Anaya fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dennys Orobio having to interfere. Primitivo Posadas took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 40th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dennys Orobio. Clapham's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ernesto Cerna struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Dennys Orobio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Deportivo Aguila.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Salvador Anaya stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Salvador Anaya received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Dennys Orobio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Clapham's zone, Ernesto Cerna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dennys Orobio came out of the goal and Ernesto Cerna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 55 minutes, Ovidio Villatoro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Clapham and the Club Deportivo Aguila players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Clapham booed when Club Deportivo Aguila was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernesto Cerna didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gilberto Santamaria recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 69th minute, Antonio Bran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carlos Flamenco's late challenge caught a Club Deportivo Aguila's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carlos Flamenco helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Club Deportivo Aguila booed when Clapham was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Flamenco didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gilberto Santamaria got free with Victorino Granados in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Salvador Anaya managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Deportivo Aguila's supporters rose to their feet, but Salvador Anaya was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dennys Orobio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dennys Orobio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ricardo Fuentes went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. When Carlos Flamenco was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 91 minutes had been played. The supporters of Club Deportivo Aguila booed when Clapham was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Flamenco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dennys Orobio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Salvador Anaya's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Clapham had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
