Dennys Orobio came out of the goal and Manuel Corpeño tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 5thth minute of the game Manuel Corpeño who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Clapham's Dennys Orobio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Clapham's Gilberto Santamaria got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Shepshed's zone, Carlos Flamenco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristian Verdugo came out of the goal and Carlos Flamenco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gilberto Santamaria struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Cristian Verdugo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Clapham. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Shepshed's goalkeeper Cristian Verdugo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gilberto Santamaria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Cristian Verdugo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristian Verdugo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carlos Flamenco's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. After a rather tough play, Clapham's Ovidio Villatoro got a free kick in the 27th minute. Manuel Corpeño sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 34 minutes, Gilberto Santamaria managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Clapham's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gilberto Santamaria was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dennys Orobio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Corpeño, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Antonio Bran charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Antonio Bran the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Corpeño in the 41st minute of play forced Clapham's goalkeeper Dennys Orobio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rd play minute Gilberto Santamaria came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Cristian Verdugo. 1-0. Cristian Verdugo made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Gilberto Santamaria sent off a good shot on target. Cristian Verdugo was a little too slow when Gilberto Santamaria got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 47th minute. The score was now 2-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Carlos Flamenco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Carlos Flamenco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristian Verdugo having to interfere. In the 68th match minute, Shepshed was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Franklin Del Cid to maneuver through the defense. 69 minutes into the match, Carlos Flamenco notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Shepshed's Cristian Verdugo. Cristian Verdugo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 80 minutes into the match, Shepshed's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Flamenco came free, but Cristian Verdugo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Franklin Del Cid fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Shepshed's protests and gave Franklin Del Cid a yellow card for diving instead. Franklin Del Cid hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match.
